Collaboration

Collaboration is undergoing a subtle, but important transformation.

As dancers become more adept at blending their dance styles, and fusing in a little bit of this and a little bit of that – we want to ensure that we continue to encourage this evolvement in dance.

So now, instead of clearly differentiating dance styles – we’re going to move forward by playing music that fully encourages dancers to live in the moment, and spontaneously create the magic in their dance.

Our aim is to continue to make Collaboration an alternative to music that you will find at most mainstream freestyles.

Will we still be playing music that is suitable for dancers to bring their A-game, and add in those funky, bluesy, flowy movements we all love so much?  Absolutely!

We are liberating our DJs to play a really broad range of music for you – anything that adds that silky, smooth extra for you to play with!

Music and the ability to dance well to it is at the heart of all that we do.

And we are aware that not everyone has access to the extra skills that make musicality a wonderful addition to their dance repertoire – so starting in the New Year, we will be offering a FREE CLASS before each Collaboration session. 

So if you have been muddling through as you make your transition from your regular dance classes – come along and let us help you to really connect to the music.

Obviously if you prefer not to attend classes – then just turn up from 8:15pm and dive right into freestyle!
