We are Sara White’s Blues Nites.
We teach dance. And run freestyle dance events, and workshops, and weekend events and retreats.
That’s all we do, and to help communicate what we do we run this very purple web site.
We want you to know that we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors. In particular, we want you to know that Sara White Blues Nites does not sell, rent, share or trade email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. That’s not what you want, and it’s not what we want. So it's not what we do.
Just to be clear, though, in this Privacy Policy we’ve provided lots of detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.
Make yourself a cup of coffee. Or tea. And take a look.
A few words about cookies
When someone visits sarawhiteblues.com we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns, using small pieces of information on your computer called cookies. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. We also use some cookies to help process our shopping cart, and when you view a video on one of our pages.
You can find out some more about our use of cookies HERE
About our email lists
To keep you informed about upcoming events, to let you know what’s going on at Blues Nites HQ and to help you feel part of this big wonderful dance family, we send out a regular weekly(ish) newsletter. As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information – basically, your name and email address.
We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied.
We simply don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. Ever.
We use a third-party provider, Brevo, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see Brevo's privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing Sara at sara.white@bluesnites.co.uk
Buying products
When you buy tickets or passes to our events, we will record your name, email and contact number associated with the purchase. You may, of course, purchase a ticket (or tickets) to our events in person without supplying this personal data. And as we said earlier, we don’t supply this information to any other company without your consent.
If you book on one of our residential events, we’ll need to pass your name to our hotel and accommodation suppliers, along with any additional information you provide like special requests, dietary requirements etc. This additional information is not stored within our computer systems. We do not provide contact information to the hotel.
Your information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold at any time. Email your request to Sara at sara.white@bluesnites.co.uk.
